Another Week, Another Weekend

Weeks are blending together, with the weekends seeming no different than the weekdays. Like everyone else, I'm trying to keep busy. Along with the usual chores, I started some projects around the house, sometimes biting off more than I can chew. Here's a look at my not-so-exciting week.

I finally found a store that had jigsaw puzzles in stock. The game store in Provincetown, Puzzle Me This, has a great selection available so I ordered two. It's been years since I've done a jigsaw puzzle. I started out slowly, wondering why I thought this would be fun to do!  I'm now very happily slogging through it. I forgot how much I love doing puzzles!

We had two nice weather days so I ordered 10 yards of mulch, which was delievered right away! I happily spread it for a couple of hours before feeling like I should stop while I was ahead and not sore.

I should have checked the weather forecast before ordering it because since then, it's been raining. This task is now on the back burner.

I brought Luxie out to get a bit of fresh air. She wore Little Ray's harness while enjoying the exciting outside world.

DH moved his home office into the little boy's room. The boy is sleeping in his big brother's room since he's still away on the Cape. It's musical spaces here.

DH has a new assistant. She's a real go-getter.

As I told P, the boys do their own laundry. The little guy did his last night. He also does his own decorating, proudily displaying his new game jersey that he wore for only a few weeks before his season abruptly ended. This is the only thing displayed on his walls, so apparently he's a minimalist, like his architect parents.

DH on the other hand, doesn't do his own laundry so I'm greeted every morning by this scene.

DH and the boy made this contraption for at-home training.

I don't know what it's called but he uses these balls to throw against it.

A few days ago, his summer league canceled their season and his school pitching coach told all pitchers to take May off from throwing. The contraption and the expensive set of balls will be ready for him when the time comes.

Finally, the cats are living like royalty. Not only are they happy to have us home all the time, they now get pats and treats all day long. Christmas came early when the Amazon delivery person brought them new scratching posts since Luke tore all the covering off the old ones. The crazy cat lady also made them new cozy spots where they can watch the birdfeeder or take a nap (Luke is on the left).

The highlight of my week was by far the Zoom WTIOC Happy Hour. I'm so looking forward to the next time.

What is everyone else doing to not go stircrazy?
