Grammarphiles unite!

                                             This should be fun 😀

• A bar was walked into by the passive voice.
• An oxymoron walked into a bar, and the silence was deafening.
• Two quotation marks walk into a “bar.”
• A malapropism walks into a bar, looking for all intensive purposes like a wolf in cheap clothing, muttering epitaphs and casting dispersions on his magnificent other, who takes him for granite.
• Hyperbole totally rips into this insane bar and absolutely destroys everything.
• A question mark walks into a bar?
• A non sequitur walks into a bar. In a strong wind, even turkeys can fly.
• Papyrus and Comic Sans walk into a bar. The bartender says, "Get out -- we don't serve your type."
• A mixed metaphor walks into a bar, seeing the handwriting on the wall but hoping to nip it in the bud.
• A comma splice walks into a bar, it has a drink and then leaves.
• Three intransitive verbs walk into a bar. They sit. They converse. They depart.
• A synonym strolls into a tavern.
• At the end of the day, a cliché walks into a bar -- fresh as a daisy, cute as a button, and sharp as a tack.

Happy Birthday, Roxie!!

Look at that! We have another birthday to celebrate. Today it's our dear Blogger Queen Roxie's birthday. Our friend who is not only the blogger who has kept us going, but she's the finest caretaker of our handsome fella Duncan! Truthfully, you are much more than that. We could go on, but the party is starting.

Roxie, we wish you a very, very Happy Birthday!! You are a special person here on the blog, and in real life. Please enjoy the party we've put together for you. Just pull up a chair and let us take care of the rest. Today is your day to relax and enjoy yourself!

Happy Birthday, dear friend. Enjoy!!

You all look a bit thirsty. Hold on a minute.

Cheers, Roxie! Everyone, grab a glass or two.

A few flowers for the birthday lady.

Time for birthday cake. In a pandemic, it's best to have every type of cake imaginable.

A party favor especially for you, Roxie...

... And a little something for the morning, in case there was excessive celebration today!

Happy Birthday, Roxie!!

Wishing you happiness, health and love in the year to come. xoxo

Looking at the Beauty Beyond

 Happy Friday, friends!

We made it through another week, so that's something to be happy about. We're also happy that our fearless leader, Regina, is now at home resting and recovering. Sending much love and healing light to you over the miles, R.

Joe Biden just picked his running mate, Kamala Harris, which makes me hopeful for the first time in almost 4 years. Like her or not, it's hard not to be giddy to think about how she'll take on the current VP in the debate. She suffers no fools.

Hopeful. I like that word. It brings up thoughts of a brighter future. The images this week are meant to express that feeling, with optimism towards a brighter, more beautiful future for all of us.
