Something different

Yesterday we took a trip to Africa and enjoyed the rhythms of everyday life. Today we'll take a trip to the other side of the world for a bit of unusual dance. I'm not crazy about the music, but the movement is mesmerizing. Enjoy!

1930's Special Effects

View_From_Here sent me a video from the 1934 film Dames. The scene was choreographed by Busby Berkeley. While watching it on Youtube I came across this medley, put together with music played by Artie Shaw:

Some sensual, powerful flamenco

This video stirs something in me. My maternal grandparents were born in Granada, Andalucia, and flamenco never fails to touch me somewhere.
