I need to vent!

Yesterday the UK parliament voted to become officially useless by rejecting an amendment to the Brexit bill that would give them the final say on any deals between the EU and the UK when the two years of negotiations are over. It's full power to Theresa May.

Back in 1933, the Germans representatives voted in a very similar way, giving Hitler absolute power through the Enabling Act. The British had not yet lost their minds in 1933:

The British Ambassador to Germany watched these developments with increasing alarm and, having seen Hitler rip up the constitution, wrote: “We are living in a country (Germany) where fanatics, hooligans and eccentrics have got the upper hand.”

I expect the German Ambassador to the UK to have very similar feelings regarding yesterday's vote...
