Shhh... just be quiet.

Very funny photo:

We're having storms here today. The electricity is a bit on and off, very unpredictable, hence the quick post. I had to do it quickly in case we're cut off again! Happy Sunday!

[This was yesterday's post. The internet went down as I clicked "publish." The outage beat me! We only just got back online. I feel terrible without internet, totally cut off. Grrrr....]

Tomorrow's world is here... today!

Amy sent us some examples of things that look like they were taken out of some sci-fi movie. Thank you, Amy.

World Book Day

Today marks the anniversary of Shakespeare birth (and death) and, appropriately, it's also World Book Day. We always recommend books to each other here, it's always a book day! In the spirit of the occasion, I'd like to recommend "The Grass is Singing" by Doris Lessing. Happy reading!

Let's party some more!

We have a double party today. Granny J invited Amy to share her birthday, so today we have a lovely assortment of treats. I've been collecting pictures that make me think of my friends here and will post them on their birthdays. It worked well yesterday, and it makes a change from far too much cake! Don't panic! There will be cake, including a deliciously ironic chocolate one... The pictures are not divided between GJ and Amy, they're jumbled up, it will be a guessing game, although some of the items apply to both.

Happy birthday, Amy and GJ! Have a fabulous day!

[What do you make of chocolate cake with macarons, P?]
