It"s that time of year

This past weekend was dreary and rainy. The good news is that all the snow melted from the storm last week... The bad news is it was dreary and rainy as mentioned above. Sigh. Perfect weather to start decorating for Christmas. My heart wasn't in it but with some teamwork things are starting to come together. I like a holiday drink while decorating and decided to make hot buttered rum. An old recipe that I make every few years.

Disclaimer..This is not even the least little bit healthy.

It was delicious as always and I consider the weekend a success.

Holiday memories can be difficult, but it is so nice to have a reason to look back.
Enjoy the next few weeks everyone.

Have a Great Week!!

Good morning, friends!!  Pour yourself a cup of your favorite beverage, and pull up a chair.  Let's catch up on the goings on in our lives.

I'm not an early morning person, especially on Mondays.  However this Monday, I'm up early with DH, who starts a new job in Boston today.  After 18+ years at the same firm, he's taking a leap to another firm that offers him greater opportunities.  There will be some growing pains with the commute- - 5 miles vs 25 miles- - and driving right into the city.  He'll leave home super early, and return after 7:00.  But hey, I hear that absence makes the heart grow fonder!!

What's new with you?

Competition

Q had a great idea for a competition: handwriting! Each of you sends me this text - The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog, both in cursive and print.

I'll organise the competition in a post early next week, after I recover from jetlag. I'm going to Miami tomorrow, arriving Saturday.

We'll have fun!

Please, don't let it melt!

 Accidentally perfect

The perfection in this handwriting

This glass holds exactly one can of soda right to the brim.

Can't eat it, it's too perfect!

Thanks, Amy!!
