Relax

At the end of this long holiday weekend, I hope that everyone has a chance to put their feet up to relax, whether it's with a book, a glass of wine, or simply a nap.

It's Game Day!!

Our favorite match-up is today at noon.  We all owe our love for Michigan to a very special guy.  Let's hope that P will stop by to say hello and to see our enthusiasm for our boys in maize and blue.  This year, our Wolverines  aren't playing in The Big House, which incidentally holds 107,601 fans.  The game is being played in Ohio Stadium, which only holds 102,082.  See that, we have them beat already!

Michigan's Marching Band is one of the finest in the country.  Here's a video of one of their performances this season:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIojYbkFH1c

In our house, there is a bit of a split in who we're cheering for.  DH is from Ohio, so OSU is his team of choice.  Since I have a true link to Michigan thanks to P, I GO BLUE!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Friends.

This Thanksgiving, let's all consider what we are thankful for.  We have all had a rough year, but together, but we are making it through with a little help from our WTIOC friends.

I am so thankful for the friendships I've made here.  You lift me up when I'm feeling down, empathize by sharing your stories to show me that I'm not alone, make me laugh when I'm sad, and embrace me as part of this fantastic group of smart, funny & caring friends.

Thank you all for your friendship!

Wishing everyone a wonderful day with family and friends.

Amy's Fancy Chocolate Turkeys

I was thinking about Amy's fancy chocolate turkeys today.  At Christmas, we have chocolate Santas, chocolate snowmen, chocolate reindeer, but I'd never considered the fact that Thanksgiving could bring us chocolate turkeys!

A quick trip to google led me down a rabbit hole (like it always does) only to find some really cute DIY chocolate turkeys.  The best part is that no instructions are needed to make them!  I got a kick out of them, and I hope you do too!

Due to the holidays and how busy things are this time of year, we may not have new posts up every day-- at least until our schedules settle down.  We hope that works for you, our friends.  xo

Are you ready?

This is the first week of the upcoming holiday season. Thanksgiving is Thursday, and all of us in the U.S. will likely be having a big meal. Then BOOM, a few hours later the countdown to Christmas begins, followed shortly by New Year's Eve frivolities. A festive few weeks filled with family, friends and indulgences. I know my attempt at a healthy diet will suffer a bit, but I am looking forward to all the craziness. I also know for sure that by January 2nd  I will be glad it is all over for another year! So here we go again...

Have a good week everyone!

Reading material

I had to do it, just couldn't resist the cover of this book. 😉

Top Pick Award from Litpick Student Reviews. By IPPY and Global Ebook Award Winning author.
'Jean Gill has captured the innermost thoughts of this magnificent animal.'
 Les Ingham, Pyr International
A dog's life in the south of France. From puppyhood, Sirius the Pyrenean Mountain Dog has been trying to understand his humans and train them with kindness.
How this led to their divorce he has no idea. More misunderstandings take Sirius to Death Row in an animal shelter, as a so-called dangerous dog learning survival tricks from the other inmates. During the twilight barking, he is shocked to hear his brother's voice but the bitter-sweet reunion is short-lived. Doggedly, Sirius keeps the faith.
One day, his human will come.

This boy agrees.
