A funny picture to start a happy week

[There are a couple of pictures of Roxie with her dad in the first comment. I hope we all have as happy a week as our Roxie!]

Birthday party!

I may be completely off the mark here... I went through the archives because I started having nagging doubts regarding the actual date of this birthday celebration. It had always been on the 24th, but for some reason I changed it to the 25th last year and nobody called me out on it. Which is which?

We'll have a party anyway! Happy birthday, Sleuth and QoS!

Pretentious, moi?

Three dogs met in the park. The first was a beautiful black poodle with a big blue ribbon around its neck, and it said,

"My name is Fifi, spelled F-I-F-I."

The second was a pretty white poodle with a red satin ribbon around its neck, and it said,

"My name is Mimi, spelled M-I-M-I."

The third was a dirty old mutt and said,

"My name is Fido, spelled P-H-Y-D-E-A-U-X."

My sister Angela

I've been missing in these past few days because our family suffered a great loss on Saturday.  My younger sister Angela fell asleep peacefully and didn't wake up. I feel like a part of me has fallen off... I wasn't sure I should write a post about it, but decided to share my pain and also the love I carry in my heart for my beautiful little sister. She had some health issues, but we weren't expecting her heart to simply stop. Angela suffered from depression and carried a heavy burden of unhappiness. Here are some photos of how I want to remember her, from happier times:
