There's Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum in Tennessee, with over 20,000 shakers on display, dating from the 1500's to modern times. The museum is owned and run by Andrea and Rolf (wait for it) Salt!

Here are some of the exhibits:

Is this a cat-erpillar?

See what I did there?

Someone was taking a panoramic picture and the cat walked through the room...

I wish we were all there...

Ah... Wouldn't it be lovely if we could all meet in a place like Santorini?

How blue is your sky?

Cyanometers have been color-coding the sky since the late 18th century, but Martin Bricelj Baraga’s Cyanometer sculpture adds a modern twist. Located in the center of Ljiubljana, Slovenia, the monolithic structure blends art and science, by measuring the blueness of the sky and looking stunning doing it.

Going places

I've been a bit erratic with the posts lately. My sister Dora and I have been busy trying to organise a trip to India! Dora loves travel and needs a companion, so I've been recruited...

We're doing what is known as the Golden Triangle: Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.

Delhi:

Agra:

Jaipur:

After doing this touristy bit, we'll be heading to Southern India. We're going to a retreat in Cochin, Kerala, where we'll do yoga and have therapeutic ayurvedic massages.

Goodbye to an old friend

We had to say goodbye to Pirate today. He was run over by a car this morning. A guy from the council knocked on the door to tell us after asking around the neighbourhood. Peter was out at the time. Pirate didn't suffer and had no sign of any injury. He looked peacefully asleep. We'll miss him a lot.

The life and times of a lovely cat:
