A different take on the surreal

These paintings, by Brazilian artist Cláudio Souza Pinto, are intriguing, colourful and quite theatrical. I spent ages observing some of the quirky details and decided that I like them. That's why they caught my eye in the first place!

A very cool way to create memories

Wendy Tsao came up with the idea of creating a priceless memento for her son when he drew a self-portrait at the age of four. She transformed his drawing into a soft toy, a very faithful version of his unique likeness.
