Powerful horses
This installation by Andy Scott is called The Kelpies. It's in Falkirk, Scotland, and it's breathtaking. It must be great to be able to see them in the flesh! (so to speak). They look spectacular in daylight, but at night there's a completely different dimension to them when the lights work their magic.

Alternative Christmas trees

Live blogging from the café...
We're sitting at the Café de Paris while one of the tyres is being mended. We found a screw embedded in one of the back tyres this morning!
Would you like to join us in a nice cup of coffee?
This bar/café is very popular with the rugby crowd, as you can see in the last photo. The French are fanatical about rugby. This is the local team:
The café also caters for horse race betting:
There are three cafés in our village and this one is the friendliest. It's also open everyday, unlike the others. One of the most important features of the Café de Paris is the wi-fi, otherwise I wouldn't be able to blog on the go!
I hope you enjoyed this visit to one of our local haunts. À bientôt!
