Visual gags and puns

I found some new funny pictures that should provoke a few groans. These things make me think of View and Mrsgunka...

Need cheering up?

Mrsgunka never fails in the cheering up department. This email awaited me when I woke up this morning:

My best childhood friend just sent this to me to cheer me up. It worked! Think we could all use a good laugh! Bet GrannyJ will like the twins! :-) The first one is my favorite. Can't wait to show the boys in the morning!

Thank you, MrsG. I'm sure these will cheer everybody up!

Celebrating love

This week has been very emotional for all of us. On February 14, people traditionally celebrate love and friendship. I would like to dedicate this post to Ray & Mrsgunka and to CC.

Ray and MrsG were together for 55 years and she made sure Ray was surrounded by love in his last days. They were a remarkable couple and we're very familiar with our formidable Mrsgunka. We've learned to love Ray through her thoughtful comments and lovely stories. Good bye, Ray. You were much loved and will be greatly missed by many.

We enjoyed seeing CC's smile over the past four years and her warmth comes through in each of her comments. We waited for news following her operation yesterday and were very relieved to know that she's ok and that things are looking good!

Let's celebrate the life of a man who was very special to his family and friends and who was very respected in his profession because he was very capable and dedicated. Ray leaves many invaluable memories to those who knew him.

Let's rejoice in the fact that CC will be back with us soon enough.

I'm happy we have each other. Let's also celebrate our friendship!

Let's celebrate love in all its forms.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Mascara or no mascara? UPDATE

I CC said she was going to wear some make-up for her op. Having seen her without any make-up at all, I can tell you she looks just fine with or without it. Another thing I noticed about CC is that she doesn't seem to need any beauty sleep. We would stay up until the small hours and CC would get up quite early, looking as fresh as a rose. I, on the other hand, looked like something the cat dragged in, even though I had slept longer than CC...

We're all holding you in our thoughts, dear friend. I hope you recover from the anesthetic quickly so you can catch up with P's story about pee pee (we haven't forgotten about it, Irish).

[As soon as I hear any news about CC, I'll publish a new post, ok?]

UPDATE

[I'm typing this on the i-pad and it seems the formatting has gone out of the window!]

GrannyJ received an email from CC's sister. Here it is, a bit edited to stick to people's internet names:

GrannyJ, I'm CC's sister.. We are most grateful for everyone's kindness, support, prayers and encouragement... Surgery went well.. A 2cm tumor was removed and the dr believes from what he was able to see visually that the cells seemed to be contained. The pathology report will confirm any findings.. So... In 2 weeks we'll know if any or further treatment will be necessary ....
Again thanks so much for your well wishes and more.... I'll stay in touch. GrannyJ, I would appreciate you passing the info along to CC's friends...
