Is this a cat-erpillar?

See what I did there?

Someone was taking a panoramic picture and the cat walked through the room...

How blue is your sky?

Cyanometers have been color-coding the sky since the late 18th century, but Martin Bricelj Baraga’s Cyanometer sculpture adds a modern twist. Located in the center of Ljiubljana, Slovenia, the monolithic structure blends art and science, by measuring the blueness of the sky and looking stunning doing it.

What time is o'clock?

The clocks went forward last night and I don't know if I'm coming or going today! This blog has a thing about clocks, so this should be interesting. It's about the oldest public clock in Paris. It's situated in the very heart of the city, the clock tower being the oldest remaining part of the Palais de la Cité.

It seems that shopping and drinking were high on the list of priorities for the old Parisians!

Amy sent us loads of photos of various public seats from around the world. There were far too many for a single post, so I selected the ones I liked best and added some I had been saving as well. Thank you, Amy.

No, this is not another planet!

This amazing landscape is not from another world, but in Catamarca, Argentina. It's a pumice stone field, formed after volcanic eruptions.

Unusual bird feeder

The bird doesn't seem to mind the garish new restaurant...

OMG!

The Irtysh river in Russia froze forming a very peculiar pattern in January last year.

Countries excel at something, even if it's nasty!

Unfortunately, they labelled both commodities and gastronomy using the same colour, but you'll get the idea.

[Hey, 1sc, look at the USA: one of your pet peeves, eh?]

They could do it with their eyes shut (well, nearly!)

Back in 1947, LIFE magazine challenged ten comics artists to draw their creations twice, but they were blindfolded for the second attempt...
