Today it's Lynn's birthday. She hasn't been around lately because her family is still coming to terms with the loss of her much loved father-in-law and she doesn't feel inspired to write comments at the moment. But... it IS her birthday today and I hope the cakes and the jokes will bring a smile to her face. Happy birthday, dear friend!

Sadly, this will be the reality for the people of Carlisle and other places in the north of England, due to devastating floods. Hopefully, there will be help for them, just as there was for the family in the commercial...

I've just returned from a visit to the orthopedic doc. He gave me three injections of a cocktail of cortisone and anesthetic, so both my hands are very numb. The left hand is worse (2 injections), and I type on the iPad with a stylus, so I'm ok to post this. I needed a dose of cute, so here goes:
