Gremlins

The gremlins had infested Dora's modem and we have only just resolved the problem. We have to go out soon to pick up the children from summer camp, so this post is just to touch base. I haven't seen CC yet because I'm still jet lagged and finding my feet...

Lolô made a lovely lunch for us. Here are Dora, two of her daughters and the lunch:

Surpriiiise!

I'm at Charles de Gaulle airport on my way to Miami. Dora treated me to a trip to visit the family. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow, from closer quarters. I'm going to see CC!

Multi - the grand finale

This is the loudest post in the series, but I find it very cheerful. Dear Pallottine will have serious withdrawal symptoms without his beloved macarons...

I enjoyed this series of posts immensely. Each colour had some beautiful little surprises and made us think about how we see and feel them. I also found an interesting and amusing chart about how men and women classify and refer to colours.

A chateau being restored to its former glory

The Chateau de Gudanes in the department of Ariège, Midi-Pyrenées, was abandoned and unloved for many years, until a brave Australian couple bought it and started restoring its 94 rooms!

It's a very ambitious project, but there are many original features worth preserving, plus the setting and the views are simply spectacular.

Music in motion

View sent me this video a while ago and I had forgotten about it. I love these Rube Goldberg machines and this one is quite good. Make sure you have the sound on as the machine was built by a musician and the music is an integral part of the enjoyment of this video. Thanks, View.

Multi pastels

This is my favourite collection of photos in the "Colours" series of posts. Colours I dislike individually acquire a delicate, soothing quality and an almost elusive beauty when seen together. The next post will be the last in the series...
