Broken Sky?

These photos were taken by photographer Bing Wright. They look like stained glass, but are reflections of the evening sky on broken mirrors, so he named the series Broken Mirror/Evening Sky. I think they're beautiful.

Canadian fun

This post contains a mix of photos sent in by GrannyJ, Mrsgunka (who dedicated them to GJ) and some photos I found on the internet. It's all good, clean Canadian fun! 1SC should find them amusing too... Enjoy.

This is true

This picture is accurate 99% of the time. There have been cases where a good scriptwriter, a brilliant director and a cast of talented actors have turned a mediocre book into a cinematic masterpiece, but a good book is always superior to any film based on it. The depth of a good book turned into a movie is limited by the director's interpretation of the story, but when we read it ourselves, our imagination takes us to depths no director will ever know...

A bit of nostalgia

There's something incredibly stylish about fashion in the 50s. These days garments hang on the hips, which is very uncomfortable (and unsightly on ladies of a certain age...).

Some of these photos made me think of Amy:

Big Christmas party!

I was going to save this video until a bit nearer the big day, but as View and Queen of Sheeba have already sent it to me, I'd better use it before you ALL see it on youtube and send it to me again! Hahaha! Thank you, View and QoS.

Getting emotional...

Mrsgunka shared this video and I became quite emotional watching it. The music is upbeat enough, but the children got to me... Thank you, MrsG.

I'll take the stairs

I love photos of stairs. We had posts showing unusual stairs and staircases, but today's post focuses on the actual angle of the photos. I think they're beautiful.

The first picture was taken by friends celebrating their wedding anniversary in Paris this weekend. They described it as "the stairs to our garret." The second is the staircase in the Tower, here in our village. The other photos are from here and there, collected as they appear on various sites and catch my eye. When I have enough pictures, we have a post! Enjoy.
